SUPPORT SERVICES FOR ANYONE DEALING WITH CANCERBALYA Support Nights are held fortnightly on a Monday night and attendances average between 10 and 20. The support nights provide continuing emotional, social and psychological support, and help those dealing with cancer maintain a positive mindset. Guest speakers are invited to discuss topics of interest, and family members and friends are encouraged to attend. ONE DAY SEMINARS ARE CONDUCTED ACCORDING TO DEMAND by Dr Bullen and Dr HanThese are usually held on a Saturday and encompass Psychology and Nutrition for better health. These are open to the public, and are held at the Karrinyup Centre 40 Davenport Street. CHILDRENS GROUP - ON REQUEST For those children who have a parent with cancer between the ages of 10 and 15, who would like to hear about the immune system, good food, the mind and all the positives in which they can play a role, yet having fun at the same time. We require a group of six to run a group and interest is welcome. GRIEF COUNSELLING Balya offers help to family and friends dealing with the loss of a loved one and small groups are held on alternate Wednesday nights at the Karrinyup Centre, commencing at 7.30pm sharp.
