FIVE DAY RETREATS FOR CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR CARERS are conducted every three months at the beautiful bushland environment in Gidgegannup in the hills of Perth, Western Australia. 

Retreats are well supported but input costs have increased substantially so we need your committment. Retreats run from Wednesday evening to Sunday.

The cost of these retreats including accommodation, meals and lectures is available from a modest $ 510.00 to $ 590.00, depending on the type of accommodation. A deposit will be called for at time of booking.

The aim of the Retreats is to provide "time-out" from everyday routines and stresses, and in a relaxed, peaceful setting, to consider how to deal with cancer in a holistic way.

The programme covers:

  • Education; on cancer and important lifestyle changes essential for optimum health.
  • Medical; possible causes and treatments and the importance of the immune system in relation to health and illness.
  • Nutrition; the importance of good nutrition to maintain health and to back up other therapies.
  • Psychological; the role of stress, relaxation, goal setting, positive attitude, healing emotional wounds, resolving conflicts, self esteem and more.

Health professionals such as Doctors, Nurses, Medical and Psychology Students are given the opportunity to attend Cancer Retreats to become more familiar with the issues which people face following a diagnosis of cancer, and enhance their own skills in working with them.

The cost of these retreats including accommodation, meals and lectures is currently priced from a modest $ 510.00 to $ 590.00, per person, sharing, depending on the type of accommodation.

OPTIMUM HEALTH RETREATS. These weekend retreats from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon take place every two months.  These retreats are very popular and inexpensive and are therefore booked out very early. The programme concentrates of mental attitudes and eating well. The recent weekend retreat was well attended by a broad spectrum of participants.
